4 Reasons to Print Your Photos

Some of us remember the days before social media and digital photography, when you had no choice but to print your photos. One of my favorite high school jobs I had was working in a one hour printing lab. It wasn't that long ago that we were still using film and dropping off those canisters to be developed. I loved that job! Developing and cutting the negatives and handing customers their prints; it was real time satisfaction from a physical product.

Obviously, we live in a digital world now. It takes real effort to print your photos! But that effort is worth it. I'm going to break it down for you with four reasons why you need to print your photos!

1 - Style Your Home by Printing Your Photos

Printing your photos is an easy way to fill your space with love. When you just can't find the right piece of artwork, family photos are always a safe bet! There is never a more beautiful way to decorate your home than with professional portraits of your loved ones adorning the walls. The best part is that anyone who enters your home gets to share in your special moments with you! So, go ahead, print your photos in large format and hang them on your walls for all to see!

2 - Avoid Losing Your Images in the Vast Digital Void

There is a reason you hired a professional for your family photos. Most likely, it was because you want to remember that special time. Freezing that moment in time was important to you. With the camera phone, we all have way too many photos. All of those photos get shuffled into random files, thumb drives, cloud storage, and externals hard drives. Then what? Most likely, those photos never see the light of day again. Don't let your most important photos (the ones you paid good money to capture) get lost forever. Print them so you can have them at your disposal and enjoy them for far longer than if they were sitting on your phone somewhere.

Technology is always changing. Chances are, in just a few years the devices we are using now will not be relevant. Goodbye, photos! However, if you took the extra minute to print your photos, they will stick around for the enjoyment of others in the future!

3 - Keepsakes

Looking back at photos from special moments in our lives or a simpler time, brings us a nostalgic feeling that we don't get often enough. Printing your photos is one way to relive meaningful moments.

Have you ever had a Facebook memory pop up and you have no clue what it's referencing? I know I have had those moments and it really bothers me that I can't recall what the status or photo means. You don't have to worry about that when you print your photos! That memory can't escape your brain, because from the moment it happens, you will have a daily reminder to keep it at the forefront of your thinking.

You can also print your photos with the intention of passing along a keepsake to future generations. Albums, folio boxes, and the like make great keepsakes for your loved ones to cherish for years to come!

4 - Bring Joy to Your Every Day When You Print Your Photos

When we hire a professional photographer, it's usually for a meaningful milestone. We create fond memories during a photography session. Print your photos so you can look back on a special time more often.

Hang a framed enlargement above the mantel, so you can smile every time you enter the room. Print your photos in a professional album for your guests to peruse as they visit. Print your photos in a folio box or accordion album to give as gifts for family and friends! They will love the gift and the joy it brings them every day!

I hope I have convinced you to print your photos from your next photography session. For the best quality prints, go through your photographer. We have access to professional labs so you can get the best quality and long-lasting products!
